The baby kind of nursery, not the plant kind. We’re having the house painted next week, which means we effectively have to move out for a few days. Which is like uuugggghhh. Everything off the walls, removed from countertops, etc. And it’s turned into a rather satisfying bought of spring cleaning for moi.
I’m selling things on craigslist, giving things away, even having a garage sale on Saturday. It’s pretty awesome. One thing I’m ready to part with, but would like to see in a good home, is the strand of bunting I made for Dashiell’s room before he was born.
It’s served us well but now that Dashiell is such a big, mature guy I think he might need some updated decor. More manly and suitable for a 15 month old.
Plus I figured one of you might love some patterned flags to decorate your bebe’s room? They’re unisex, so as long as you don’t mind oranges and blues and browns it should work no matter who’s in there.

You’re all winners, of course. But in any contest, there must be, like, WINNER winners. And thanks to random.org, I have 6 chosen for the XX album giveaway. There must be a better way to do this, but because I am new at this, I just went to random.org and told it to generate a random number between 1 and 114, six times.
Yay! Congrats ladies. For the record, I did have a few dudes enter. Which is kind of awesome! I’ll send you six an email to retrieve your mailing address. And then I’ll pop the cds in the mail. Sometime in the next, say, month? Haa. Okay, no. Hopefully I will make it to the post office next week. And remember, you can always buy the album for yourself! It’s only $9.99 on Amazon and iTunes.

This is a momentous day, you guys. My first giveaway. And it’s a pretty good one, if you ask me. Remember I posted about my newfound love for the XX a while back?
Well the nice peeps at XL Recordings offered to let me give an XX album to 6 of my readers. WHOA!!! Very exciting. Some of you probably already have it, but if you don’t, I swear swear swear it’s excellent and you will love it to pieces. It’s a perfect soundtrack for all sorts of social and non-social engagements… like cocktail parties, driving, working, making out, and the like.
